6.I. Workshop: Social Prescribing: what has been learned in developing evidence, what challenges and solutions?

چکیده
Abstract Social prescribing is seen as a mechanism for addressing the social determinants of health, preventing exacerbation pre-existing diseases, reducing attendance in primary and emergency care improving general population health well-being. involves individuals being referred/self-referring to non-medical interventions run by third-party organisation. has received widespread attention internationally; however, evidence base support lacks rigour, gaps remain. The complexity prescribing, that it multiple referral routes, partners, pathways outcomes, poses challenges its evaluation research. Researchers across Europe have developed different projects research address associated with evaluating prescribing. What has been learned from computational models of attention
There are few fields where neurocomputational modelling 1 is as necessary as in that of attention — a multifaceted and 2 elusive process that is at the very core of cognition and con3 sciousness (James, 1890). While descriptive theories of at4 tentional functions, relying on a plethora of metaphors (spot5 light/zoomlens, increased-gain, biased-competition), abound, 6 computational models that a...
متن کاملMemory Training Interventions: What has been forgotten?
Memory training for older adults often produces gains that are limited to the particular memory tasks encountered during training. We suggest that memory training programs may be misguided by an implicit "generalist" assumption-memory training on a couple of memory tasks will have a positive benefit on memory ability in general. One approach to increase memory-training benefits is to target tra...
متن کاملStrategies for quantifying the relationship between medications and suicidal behaviour: what has been learned?
In recent years there has been considerable concern that certain classes of drugs, for example antidepressants, may increase the risk of suicide. In this current opinion article, we examine the literature on methodological and statistical approaches to the design and analysis of suicidal event studies. Experimental, ecological and observational studies of the relationship between drugs and suic...
متن کاملCentrifugation as a countermeasure during bed rest and dry immersion: What has been learned?
OBJECTIVES We review the studies that have evaluated intermittent short-radius centrifugation as a potential countermeasure for cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, and sensorimotor deconditioning in simulated weightlessness. METHODS The findings from 18 experimental protocols that have used bed rest and dry immersion for comparing the protective effects of centrifugation versus standing upright ...
